ADHD Evaluation with Cognitive Testing

 At Advanced Mental Health and Wellness, ADHD evaluations go beyond symptom checklists alone.

We now incorporate a brief third-party objective cognitive assessment into the evaluation process. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of attention, working memory, and executive functioning.

This assessment is based on well-established research in cognitive science and provides reliable, objective data to support your evaluation.

Cognitive testing is grounded in decades of research in cognitive neuroscience and has been used in both clinical and research settings to assess attention, memory, and executive functioning. The results are always interpreted in the context of a comprehensive clinical assessment.

 This approach helps provide:

• Greater clarity when symptoms overlap with anxiety, stress, or mood concerns 
• More personalized and targeted treatment planning 
• Objective data to support clinical decision-making 
• The ability to track progress over time

Access to traditional neuropsychological testing can often involve long wait times and high out-of-pocket costs.

This approach helps bridge that gap by offering meaningful cognitive data in a more accessible and timely way, while still maintaining a thoughtful and clinically grounded evaluation.

While this does not replace full neuropsychological testing, it can provide valuable insight and help determine when more comprehensive testing may be needed.

This evaluation may be appropriate if you:

• Have concerns about possible ADHD 
• Have ongoing concerns with focus, attention, or organization 
• Feel unsure whether symptoms may be related to ADHD, anxiety, or stress 
• Are starting or adjusting treatment and want a more objective way to track progress

A brief online cognitive assessment will be completed prior to your appointment (approximately 20–25 minutes). This can be done in the office prior to your appointment or in the privacy of your home. 

• Followed by a comprehensive clinical evaluation 
• Review of results in the context of your symptoms and history 
• A personalized treatment plan 
• This assessment is completed prior to your visit and includes an out-of-pocket fee of $300, as it is not covered by insurance. 

It provides a more accessible and timely way to incorporate objective cognitive data, particularly when compared to comprehensive neuropsychological testing, which often involves higher costs and longer wait times.
